The second menswear collection from celebrity tailor Charlie Allen is now in store and online at george.com.

The first Charlie Allen collection was hugely popular and this second collection is all about looking smart for Summer.

Charlie Allen, who has designed and fitted suits for celebrities such as Ringo Starr and the England football team, brings bespoke tailoring at affordable prices to George.

For his second collection Charlie Allen has added lightweight cotton trousers, fine knitted cardigans and colourful v-neck jumpers in purple and blue as well as new tie designs and different coloured shirts. Charlie Allen suits are made from breathable fabrics so they’re ideal for keeping cool and they’re sold as separates so they’re easy to mix and match.

Our menswear buyer Ben Fielding says: “Our customers loved the shirts, jackets and floral ties last year, and this year we have the same great quality products in a lighter colour palette that’s perfect for Spring and Summer.”

Team cotton trousers, from £16, with a crisp shirt and silk tie, from £6, for a classic formal look or wear with an open collar in the evening.

Charlie’s bespoke tailored suits can cost up to £3000 but the suits he specifically designed for the George collection are available at a much leaner price. We caught up with him at his London studio where he told us how he was able to create a stylish collection at such affordable prices – and gave us his guide to looking good.
