Trend spotting at Lovebox music festival

Hi, I’m Rosa from the Trend Team at George, and this weekend I went trend spotting for our G21 range to the Lovebox music festival in Hackney’s Victoria Park. Luckily the sun was out so it made perfect style spotting for our Spring/Summer 2013 trends!

Not only did we get inspiration from the festival goers but we also loved to see what the artists themselves were wearing as we know what a huge impact that has on our trends in store.

I saw Rita Ora, Emelie Sande and Lana del Ray all look great and have three totally different unique styles. I especially loved Lana Del Rey’s style, she looked beautiful and was dressed head to toe in candy pastel peach, I especially loved her retro style skater skirt which had a 1950s Hollywood starlet feel.

I spent the rest of the time style spotting in the crowds and I saw the usual festival essentials – printed macs, printed colourful wellies and rucksacks but a new trend which was emerging in full force was the return of the military. With both sexes wearing their khaki lightweight military jackets in either army green or camo print, it looked great and is the perfect Festival jacket for rain or shine, grunge or girly!
