Congratulations to visionary designer Barbara Hulanicki who was celebrated for her services to the fashion industry in the Queen’s New Year Honours List published this morning.

The Queen’s list recognises outstanding achievement and service across the whole of the United Kingdom – and Barbara, founder of the iconic 1960s fashion store Biba, has been given an OBE as part of her contribution to the industry and economy.

We’re delighted to be working with Barbara once again to make fashion affordable and accessible to everyone through her collections with George.

She said in an earlier interview: “Working with George has been an inspiration; from brand director Fiona Lambert who understands cutting techniques and the importance of fittings to a dream design and technical team.”

“The George collection perfectly carries my signature handwriting with original designs and prints as I love the idea of producing unique products, not just doing what everyone else is doing.”

Barbara’s latest collection with George launches exclusively online next week – you can see an exclusive sneak preview of the gorgeous dresses and Barbara’s illustrations here.
